I was born and raised in Helena, Montana. I went to college at West Point and attended law school at the University of Oregon. After beginning my legal career, tragedy pushed me to go to work for NAMI Montana. It's a challenging position, but I'm honored to have the opportunity to fight for the one-in-five Montana families affected by serious mental illness.
I have been honored to work on service member and veterans mental health issues for over a decade and a half on the state and federal level. I am forever grateful to the donors and colleagues that make that possible.
I also write. Please take a look at my novels Cross, Temple, Empire: Damascus Road, Illustrated Journey Through Bipolar Disorder: Combining Analytics, Research and Personal Insights, Looking for Answers Through Dirty Glasses and Sleeping Giant.
None of those challenges compares to trying to keep up with my wife and three kids. They keep me young and turn me gray/bald all at the same time.
